Charli XCX captions are deliberately spare. The 'brat' era turned single-word captions into a marketing strategy — 'club classics', 'sympathy is a knife', a date and nothing else. Lowercase, no punctuation, often less than five words. The voice borrows from the album rollout: stripped, slightly cold, knowing exactly what it's doing. Even off-cycle posts use the same minimal register. The cool is consistent.

What makes Charli's captions work
The pattern
Lowercase. One to four words. No punctuation, no emoji on most posts. ALL CAPS reserved for hype on tour stops. Single-word announcements ('soon', 'mine'). No hashtags. No @ tags except for collaborators.
When this voice works
This voice works for fashion editorial, drop teasers, club content, and any moment that benefits from withholding. It does not work for tributes or sincere posts; the cool can't downshift. Use it when the brand is in cycle and the caption needs to feel like part of the rollout.
One specific observation
She'll caption a tour stop with one lowercase word — and that word will become a meme by Tuesday.
