What the Artemis II astronauts did over the last 10 days was a testament to their bravery. And the fact that they traveled farther from Earth than anyone ever has, re-entered our atmosphere at more than 24,000 mph, and splashed down safely was a testament to human ingenuity. Thanks to everyone at @NASA for making this mission possible, and for taking us along for the ride. Photo credit: NASA
Great spending time with New York City’s Cutest. And thanks to @nycmayor for giving me an excuse to break out my best “Wheels on the Bus”

This Mother’s Day, I’m thinking about my mom, and all the lessons she taught me. I’m proud to honor her memory with the Ann Dunham Water Terrace at the Obama Presidential Center.
Hope isn’t blind optimism — it arises in the face of uncertainty. If you look at our history, we’ve gone through some rough patches. But we tend to come out on the other side of them stronger than before.
It was great talking to @Colbert and the inspiring young people we’ve worked with at the @ObamaFoundation on the @ColbertLateShow. When the Obama Presidential Center opens this June 19, my hope is that this will be a place where people can come together to meet, learn, and work with each other to create change in their communities. Congratulations, Virginia! Republicans are trying to tilt the midterm elections in their favor, but they haven’t done it yet. Thanks for showing us what it looks like to stand up for our democracy and fight back.
I first met Clark Reynolds when he was just three years old at our Black History Month reception at the White House. Over the last ten years, it’s been wonderful getting updates about his life through his letters. Check out how he’s doing now:
Virginia, if you haven’t done it already, make a plan to vote YES on the redistricting referendum. You can vote early by April 18 or on Election Day, April 21. Find your polling place at IWillVote.com/VA.
